Butlers at Luxury Cruise Line on April 19, 2016

For one of our clients, a 5 Star luxury cruise line, we are looking for multiple Butlers to join their team as per end of May 2016!
Requirements:
  • 4* or 5* hotel background is required
  • Experienced with delivering excellent customer service
  • Willing and able to 'go the extra mile' to accomplish highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required
  • Previous working experience within Room Service, Butler, Waiter or Housekeeping roles preferred
SELECTION DAY in DUBAI will be on Tuesday, April 19th during the morning -Candidates should be available to attend this day -- Start of the contract would be by the end of May.
Required experience:
  • Minimum experience delivering excellent customer service within 4 or 5 Star Hotels.
In general:
  • Follow the correct quality standards relating to housekeeping services
  • Adapt quickly and remain calm when passenger requirements or demands change, or escalate the requirement to ensure a quick resolution is achieved
  • Identify opportunities to do extra for passengers, independently, or in collaboration with colleagues
  • Make and suggest adjustments to the service in response to passenger feedback and understanding of the passenger profile for the cruise
  • Understand revenue target for own area and proactively work to achieve set targets
  • Describe dishes to passengers using descriptive and enticing detail and explain how all menu items are cooked and what ingredients are included, including herbs and spices
  • Suggest menu choices and alternatives to passengers based on their stated preferences
  • Explain all of the culinary terms used on the menu for passengers
  • Suggest wines/beverages to passengers that compliment the meal chosen Present wine to passengers, open, pour and top-up the wine as required
  • Respond to passengers questions regarding dietary problems and if dishes contain specific ingredients, when appropriate refer the situation to the most relevant person
  • Take room service orders accurately which can be read and understood Pour drinks accurately and without spillage Wait on tables with a professional demeanor and interact confidently with passengers
  • Follow the correct policies and procedures regarding food hygiene at all times Ensure all food preparation and service equipment and spaces are sanitized and clean at all times in accordance with company policy Highlight issues immediately in order to minimize any impact
  • Undertake the cleaning of suites using the correct chemicals and cleaning equipment taking into account different surfaces and concentrations of cleaning fluids Carry out efficient cleaning schedules throughout the cruise and on turn around days to ensure all cleaning is completed to timescales
  • Assess cleaning needs quickly and adjust schedules accordingly
  • Clean and sanitize cabins and adjacent corridors / areas as allocated, to CUK standard Ensure all areas are kept tidy and inform maintenance of any fabric or fittings that need replacing or repair Maintain and look after equipment, following the standard operating procedures
  • Respond to passenger questions, describing the main attractions of the port to be visited and the logistics of getting around the port. Describe shore excursions and tours available to help passengers make informed choices.
